Check out the Institute's actions that encourage the use of steel and its standardization.
The CBCA, which is focused on promoting the use of steel in civil construction; CB-28, which develops standards programs for steel products; and CCABrasil, which aims to contribute to the conservation of non-renewable resources and to the country’s development.
The Centro de Coprodutos Aço Brasil (CCABrasil) was created in 2010 at Brazil Steel Institute, with the support of its partners and external collaborators. The objective is to continuously improve the reuse rates of steel industry by-products, as CCABrasil promotes the development of new alternatives.
Since 2002, Centro Brasileiro da Construção em Aço (CBCA) has been working with consortium members, academia and entities in the production chain to promote and expand the participation of the steel structure in the national construction market. This work is developed with the dissemination of knowledge on the subject, studies and research in areas of interest of the sector and the training of manpower.
The Brazilian Steel Committee is responsible for the management of hundreds of ABNT’s technical standards for the steel industry. These texts are built in 16 groups assembled to work in each specific scope. They are dedicated to creating, revising or canceling the texts applicable to your work. It is worth clarifying that the standardization process is voluntary and open to all interested parties wishing to contribute technically to this work. To do so, contact cb-028@abnt.org.br and inform us which Study Committee (s) is of interest.
